Witness to The Wall...no, not THAT wall.

After a restful sleep in Glendale, CA, I braved the rush hour traffic to return to Warner Brothers Studio for a live taping of the game show, The Wall. Now, I've never seen this show on TV, but I was interested since I also haven't attended many game show tapings. Oh, and it didn't hurt that the host of show was none other than Chris Hardwick, who also hosts Talking Dead. And, I saw him last year during the taping of Talking Saul.

When I got to the staging area, there were three older ladies already waiting. We quickly bonded, and I enjoyed chatting with them. It soon became apparent that not a lot of people requested the free tickets for the show. A bunch of paid attendees showed up to fill up the seats. Everyone was escorted into the studio around  10:45 am, but we didn't actually start taping until nearly 12:30. The basic premise of the show has a couple trying to earn money for a good cause or project they are involved in. There was a husband and wife team raising money to support his nature outings with high school students that he normally funded on his own. The Wall was a huge board with pegs that directed balls dropped from above to slots with different money values below. Money could be won...or lost. It was fun watching it all happen, and I will definitely check out the show on TV when it starts again on May 8th on NBC.

Before checking into my hotel for the night, I dropped by the Original Farmer's Market in Los Angeles to pick up my favorite Brazilian food from Pampas Grill. I also got my favorite cookies, both chocolate chip and red velvet chip from T and Y Bakery. The cookies are just plain delicious! Since I don't have any noteworthy pics for today's blog post, I will provide photos of my dinner and dessert. By the way, my Brazilian feast consisted of (starting from upper right corner) fried yuca, cheese buns, collard greens, zucchini, mashed potato, linguisa sausage, sirloin cap (beef), garlic beef and fried plantains. And, no, I didn't eat the whole thing. I had enough leftovers for a future dinner!

Tomorrow, I'll have some better pictures. I'm taking the Paramount Studios VIP tour. It's been four years since I've last done this tour, and it will interesting to see if there is anything new.

It sounds like a HUGE version of 'Kerplunk'. The food looks DE-lish, and those cookies - "Oh, MY!" :-)
